• As the host of the event, your guests will be more likely to dance and have a good time if you are on the dance floor, dancing and interacting with them. •
Guests who are naturally hesitant to dance will have a much harder time loosening up and dancing on a brightly lit dance floor. Keeping the lights dim will make your guests feel more comfortable and
get them dancing sooner.
• Keeping the lights dim also allows for the best viewing of the disc jockey's lighting, LASERs and special effects. As a benefit, the DJs lighting creates ample
lighting for the chaperones to keep an eye on the fun!
• Do Not Place a chair for every guest near the dance floor. If you give everyone a chance to sit at once, they will! It is far
better to have a few tables and chairs set off away from the dance floor, where people can sit and talk without competing with the sound system. This will help rotate people on and off the dance floor
in order to get them to also visit the photographer, food, etc.
• Notify the DJ no less than 1 week before the event if there is to be a presentation, speech, etc so that he may bring a
wireless microphone to the event. This will also allow more freedom to walk the room and speak with the guests individually.
